The desk the agency was missing

TravelXEdgeIQ

The expensive part is rarely the ticket. It is the forty minutes of hunting — and the enquiry that then vanishes.

This is our own travel operating system, built in-house. One login for the agency. Four specialist AIs under one composer. Live flights and hotels from partner APIs. A website widget that can ask and draft. A person still presses Approve. That cannot be switched off.

  • One deskSearch, quote, pipeline, audit
  • One scriptWidget on the agency site
  • Human signsBooking is never automatic

TravelXEdgeIQ is not a consumer booking site. MyFirstVacation is the traveller path. TravelXEdgeIQ is the agency path — consultants, owners, and the website visitor who needs a real person to finish the sale. Scroll the screens. Each one is a job someone on a travel desk actually does.

01 · Agency desk

Twelve rooms. One login. Four specialists.

The consultant does not open a reservation terminal, a hotel portal, a chat app, and a spreadsheet. They open TravelXEdgeIQ. A composer reads the enquiry and hands it to the right specialist — flights, hotels, tours, or destination knowledge.

  • 1Paste or type the enquiry. “Family of four, Phuket, June, $9,000.”
  • 2The composer routes it. A specialist drafts the work, with a why.
  • 3The consultant edits, then sends. The AI never talks to the customer alone on a booking.

02 · Website

One script. Your brand. It cannot quietly book.

The same intelligence sits on the agency’s existing website. Drop one script tag. The visitor asks about visas, dates, or a quote. The widget can draft. It cannot approve. A consultant still signs — and a public key cannot reach the approval door.

  • 1Add the script. Match the accent colour to the site.
  • 2The visitor asks. Answers come from agency knowledge first.
  • 3A quote request becomes a hand-off card: “A consultant will review this.”

Hi — do we need a visa for Thailand from India, family of four, June?
From agency knowledge: Indian passports need a visa. Stay under 60 days is the usual tourist path. Sources attached.

A consultant will review this. The widget cannot book.

03 · Live inventory

Supplier stock. Not a brochure.

Hotel search is live inventory. Flights and tours come through partner APIs — GDS, NDC, hotel, tour. Knowledge first. Partner API second. Never scraping. A New York month comes back as real fares and rooms, not a pretty PDF.

  • 1Pick destination and dates. The desk asks the connected suppliers.
  • 2Results show live price and availability, not last week’s brochure rate.
  • 3The consultant keeps the ones that fit. Nothing is sold until a person says yes.

04 · Sell

A print-ready itinerary. A person still signs.

Trip Designer turns the shortlist into a quote the owner would stand behind — saver and luxury on the same table if the budget allows. The document is ready to send. Booking does not fire until Approve. That gate cannot be disabled.

  • 1Keep the options the family can actually take.
  • 2Trip Designer writes the itinerary and the quote PDF.
  • 3The consultant presses Approve. Then — and only then — it goes to the customer.

05 · Memory of the agency

A junior can send an answer the owner would sign.

Upload the visa notes, the supplier PDFs, the house rules. The knowledge engine answers with sources and a why. A Thailand visa reply is grounded in what this agency already trusts — not a random web page.

  • 1Drop a PDF or a note into knowledge. It stays in the agency.
  • 2Ask. The answer shows “From agency knowledge” and the source.
  • 3A junior sends it. The owner can see the citation later in audit.

06 · After the draft

The pipeline does not drop. The audit writes names.

Follow-ups sit on the desk, not in a forgotten chat. Every draft and every Approve is written down — who drafted, who signed. The owner can open last Tuesday and see the trail. Nothing reaches a customer unsigned.

  • 1An enquiry becomes a card with a next action and a due time.
  • 2Reminders fire on the desk, not in a private inbox.
  • 3Audit is append-only. Yesterday cannot be rewritten quietly.
